  • Layout lets you pick a list or a grid with one column per day.

  • Fields control which columns show in the list.

  • Time display shows hours and minutes, or decimal hours.

  • Grid cells show hours or miles when you use the grid layout.

When the page looks right, save it as a named view. You can keep up to 15 saved views. Click Set as default on the view you want to open every time you visit the page.

Your saved views also show up in the Workyard app on iPad. The phone app uses a standard set of views for everyone.

Filter the list

Click Filter to narrow the list by status (including pending approval), team, person, project, cost code, alerts, or geofence.

Active filters show as chips above the list. Click the X on a chip to remove that filter.

There are three ways to select cards.

  • Tick the checkbox on a single row.

  • Tick the checkbox on a group header to select every card in that group.

  • Tick the checkbox at the top of the table to select everything in the list.

Time off is never included in a selection for bulk actions. Approve or deny time off from the Time off tab.

  1. Select the time cards you want to approve.

  2. Click Approve under the Edit Time Cards side bar.

  3. Proceed to confirm.

  1. Select the time cards you want to change.

  2. Open the Edit Time Cards panel.

  3. Pick one action.

    • Edit clock-in time

    • Edit clock-out time

    • Set break

    • Edit project & cost code add or swaps one project or cost code for another on every selected card.

  4. Enter the change and add a note if you want one.

If an action can't be used on your selection, it stays visible but greyed out, with a short reason why.

Cards that can't be changed are skipped. When the edit finishes, Workyard lists every skipped card and the reason, so nothing changes without you knowing.
