Setting up your Pay Period Details

Setting up your pay period details is required to enable time tracking for your team. This enables Workyard to calculate any overtime for your team automatically and allows you to export time to run payroll.

Pay Period Frequency

Weekly: Select this option if you run a 7 day pay period.

Bi-Weekly: Select this option if you run a 14 day pay period.
Semi-Monthly: Select this option if your pay period consistently runs on the 1st - 15th & 16th - end of every month.
Monthly: Select this option if your pay period runs based on a calendar month period.

First Day of Pay Period

If you select Weekly or Bi-Weekly, you'll be asked to identify the first day of your most recent pay period. For example, if your most recent weekly pay period was Sunday, May 1, 2022 - Saturday, May 7, 2022. Then, we would select Sunday, May 1, 2022, as the first day of the pay period.

Start Day of Work Week

If you select Semi-Monthly or Monthly, you'll be asked to identify the start day you use to define your work week. We use this to understand when your work week begins to calculate overtime on a 7-day rolling period.
