The fastest way to get familiar with Workyard's time and location tracking is to install the app on your own phone and run through it. This guide walks you through setup and your first day of tracking.

Get the Workyard Crew app from the <a href="https://help.workyard.com/en/articles/4793119-how-to-use-workyard-to-track-your-time-and-location#">App Store for iPhone</a> or <a href="https://help.workyard.com/en/articles/4793119-how-to-use-workyard-to-track-your-time-and-location#">Google Play for Android</a>.

Open the app and sign in with the same login you use for your Workyard account.

When prompted for location permissions, select Always. This is what lets Workyard track your working time accurately throughout the day.

Set up at least one project and one cost code. This is what lets your time be segmented and pulled into detailed job cost reports.

Open the app and tap Start Work to confirm your start time. From there, Workyard tracks your time and location automatically and logs it straight to your time card — no manual entry needed.
