How do I add or change an employee's pay rate?

How to add or edit an employee pay rates in Workyard

Pay rates change all the time, but you still want to preserve your historical data. Workyard allows you to retain historical pay rates and add new ones for your employees.

  1. Log in to Workyard on a desktop.

  2. Go to the Team Member's page and click on the employee you would like to add or change a pay rate for.

  3. Click on the "New Pay Rate" button to add a new pay rate. Click on the pencil edit button to edit an existing pay rate.

    1. (A) - add a new Pay Rate & OT Rule

    2. (B) - edit the existing Rule

  1. Enter in the new pay rate and overtime settings for your employee.

Key Notes

  • The effective date cannot be modified so you may need to create a new "Pay & OT Rule" with the desired effective date

  • You cannot change the "Pay & OT Rule" if there are time cards that have been impacted by this rule already.
