Geofence is a useful feature that allows you to create a virtual boundary around a specific worksite address. It helps you to track and monitor the location of your workers and receive notifications when they enter or exit the geo-fenced area. If you need to change the size of the geofence, you can easily edit the radius of the geofence.

Using the Web App:

  1. Go to the Project Hub page

  2. Click on the project that you would like to update.

  3. Click on the edit pencil button to make changes to the project.

  4. Then, select 'Edit Geofence' and choose the address of the location that you want to update.

  5. Use the Geofence Radius slider to adjust the radius of the geo fence. You can slide it left or right to increase or decrease the size of the fence.

  6. Once you're done, click on the 'Save' button to apply the changes.

Using the Mobile App:

  1. Go to the Projects screen and swipe left on the project that you want to edit.

  2. Tap or swipe the 'Project Location' option to access the geo fence settings.

  3. Then, tap on the 'Geofence Radius' option to update the size of the fence.

  4. Use the slider to adjust the radius of the geo fence. You can slide it left or right to increase or decrease the size of the fence.

  5. Once you're done, tap on the 'Save' button to apply the changes.

FAQs

What geofence size do you recommend?

We recommend setting a geofence size of a minimum of 200ft. Anything under this value becomes less accurate for detecting entries and exits.

Can I have geofences that overlap?

No. We do not allow geofences to overlap as then we can not detect which location a person has entered or exited. Our system will automatically reduce the size of a geofence if it is detected to be overlapping with another geofence.

I tried increasing the radius although after saving it did not apply the change. Why?

If you attempt to update a radius size that overlaps with another active geofence then our system will automatically reduce the size of the radius so that it does not overlap.
