Say goodbye to manually entering time cards into Foundation Software! With our integration, you'll be able to easily export time cards by pay period for employees with time assigned to jobs, cost codes, phases, and trades.

How It Works

  1. Login to your Workyard account using a desktop computer.

  2. Go to the Time Cards page and locate the Export button.

  3. Fill in the required fields for a successful export:

    a. Date Range: Choose between the Pay Period or Custom Range option.

    • Pay Period: Export all hours recorded within a specific pay period.

    • Custom Range: Export hours for a single day or a range of days by specifying your desired period.

    b. Team Members: Use the dropdown menu to select either a single employee or multiple employees.

    • All Team Members: Check this box if you want to export hours for all employees.

    c. Export To: Foundation

  4. Start Export: Once all the required fields are filled, click 'Start Export'

  5. Log in to Foundation Software and go to Main Menu > Payroll > Daily

  6. Under Payroll Functions > General > Select Enter Time Cards

  7. Click on the Time Cards drop down arrow and select Hours Sync - Sync and the pay period you want to import for. Click Ok.

    1. Verify correct Pay Period

8. From the timesheet dialogue box, click on Import. If any warning appears, click yes to continue.

9. The TimeGenie import dialogue box will appear. Give your template a name and click on Browse to select the file you exported from Workyard in the first steps

10. Before we finalize the import, you'll need to add Available Columns to the Import Sequence box. The columns in the Import Sequence need to match the order of columns in the file you have exported from Workyard. If there are columns you are not utilizing, such as phases, simply delete them from the file.

i. For any fields that you will not be using, simply delete them from the file. (i.e. if you're not using "Phase No" just delete it from the file you downloaded from Workyard)

  1. Once you've added all the required columns, click on Finish to import your time. If any warnings appear, click on Yes to continue.

  2. Once the import is complete, your time will appear within the time sheet view. Click OK to finalize your import.

    1. You may get this error, but it is only because it doesn't recognize the first row of the import. If you want to avoid this, simply delete the first row of the file prior to import.
