A "processing update" status along with the last known battery reading is displayed on the GPS timeline when we have stopped receiving updates from the phone on the latest location tracking information.
A processing update status can occur when:
The phone is not currently connected to the internet
The phone is not sending updates to conserve battery life
The mobile app has been closed down by swiping up by the user. This stops updates being sent.
The phone has been switched off
The phone battery died
In the majority of these scenarios, location tracking information continues to be collected and stored on the phone and is uploaded once the connection is restored.
During the disconnected period, if the app was unable to collect location tracking information, it will display the reason for lost gps signal after the connection is restored.
