How to disable the Android auto enabled power save mode

How to configure your Android phone to prevent the auto enabling of power saving mode

Below are a list of the most common Android manufacturers where the battery settings impacts Workyard's ability to run location and mileage tracking while the app is not being actively used.


For each manufacturer there is a guide written on how to configure your phone to ensure the GPS tracking on Workyard continues to run:

Samsung

Instructions for Samsung devices may vary based on the model:

  1. Tap on Apps or Applications

  2. In the top right, tap on the three dots

  3. Tap on Special Access

  4. Tap on Optimize Battery usage

  5. Tap on Not optimized and then choose All Apps

  6. Search for Workyard and select Don't optimize

  7. Tap Done

OR

  1. Find Device maintenance

  2. Tap on Battery then Battery Usage

  3. In the top right hand corner, tap on the three dots

  4. Tap on Optimize Battery usage

  5. Tap on Not optimized and then choose All apps

  6. Search for Workyard and select Don't optimize

  7. Tap Done

OR

1. Go to Settings

2. Find Battery and Device Care

3. Tap on Optimize now to check apps

4. Find Workyard

5. Choose Do not optimize

Motorola

When Motorola devices reach a certain battery level the battery saver mode automatically turns on. Completely turning off battery saver is important to ensure accurate location and mileage tracking.

  1. Go to Settings then Battery

  2. In the top right, tap on the menu

  3. Tap on Battery optimization

  4. Tap on Not optimized

  5. Choose All Apps

  6. Select Workyard and choose Don’t Optimize

  7. Go back to your phone settings

  8. Choose Battery and Turn Off Battery Saver Mode

Sony

  1. Go Settings then Battery

  2. In the top right, tap on the 3 dots and choose Battery optimization

  3. Tap on Apps, find Workyard

  4. Turn off battery optimization for Workyard

One Plus

  1. Go to Settings, Battery then Battery optimization

  2. Switch to the All apps list

  3. Tap on Workyard & select Don’t optimize

LG

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Battery & power saving

  3. Tap on Battery usage

  4. Tap Ignore optimizations

  5. Turn on to ignore battery optimization for Workyard

Google Pixel

  1. Go to Settings then Apps & notifications

  2. Tap on Advanced

  3. Tap on Special app access

  4. Tap on Battery optimization

  5. Tap on Not optimized and then choose All apps

  6. Search for Workyard and select Don't optimize
