Exporting Time From Workyard

Overview

Exporting time from Workyard into Sage 100 is a simple process that helps you ensure that your payroll information is properly reflected in your payroll and accounting platform. Workyard exports your employees payroll hours, projects, phases and cost codes.

Instructions

To export time data from Workyard, follow these simple steps:

  1. Login to your Workyard account using a desktop computer.

  2. Go to the Timecards page and locate the Export button.

  3. Fill in the required fields for a successful export:

    a. Date Range: Choose between the Pay Period or Custom Range option.

    • Pay Period: Export all hours recorded within a specific pay period.

    • Custom Range: Export hours for a single day or a range of days by specifying your desired period.

    b. Team Members: Use the dropdown menu to select either a single employee or multiple employees.

    • All Team Members: Check this box if you want to export hours for all employees.

    c. Export To: Select Sage 100

  4. Start Export: Once all the required fields are filled, click 'Start Export'

  5. Map Employees: If you have not imported any employees who are submitting time, you can map them as part of the export process. This step is important to ensure that the time data is associated with the correct employees in Sage 100.

  6. Map Projects and Cost Code: If your company is utilizing Projects, you will be prompted to map any Project and Cost Codes that have yet been mapped to Sage 100.

  7. Confirm Export: Once all the necessary steps have been completed. Workyard will start exporting your timecard data to Sage 100. Once the export is complete, you should arrive at the success page to indicate that the time has been exported to Sage 100.

  8. Review Timecards in Sage 100: You can easily review all your exported time card data in the Payroll Entry (5-5-1) page in Sage 100.
