How It Works
The reason "No GPS due to start time set before clock in time" will appear if someone enters a start time that is outside the entry time of the geofence.
For example, a user selected a start time of 2pm, although they tapped on the start work button to begin their time cards at 3pm. The period between 2-3pm will not contain any location tracking as the time clock was not running during this period.
How To Resolve
Disable time card editing
Disabling time card editing prevents your workforce from being able to change their start or finish times once they are clocked in. It also prevents them from being able to create a manual time card.
Log in and go to your Organization Settings > Time Clock
Locate the group that you would like to apply the change to
Turn off Allow editing of clock in and out times under Clock Permissions
Click save to apply the changes to the group.
Create a geofenced project
If you know where your workforce should be clocking in from create a geofenced project for the location to ensure the location tracking begins once they enter the location. This will ensure you are given the exact time of entry if they happen to clock in late.
