How It Helps
Using this rule will auto trim a workers clock out time to the last known visited geofence. It helps ensure that workers are entering the correct finish time if they clock out after leaving a geofence.
How It Helps
Sometimes workers don't clock out until well after they've actually left the job site.
This rule fixes that automatically. It sets their finish time to when they left, not when they clocked out. So if someone left at 5:00 PM however didn't clock out until 7:00 PM their time card will show 5:00 PM.
You can still see the real clock out time in the Logs.
How It Works
To turn on this rule:
Click the gear icon and go to Settings > Company.
Open Time Clock Rules.
Under Rule Groups, pick the group you want.
Scroll to Smart Automations and turn on Auto Fill Clock Out Time.
That's it. From now on, when someone in that group clocks out, Workyard fills in their finish time for you.
Below is an example of what it would look like via Timecard.
FAQs
When won't this rule work?
It won't apply if there were no job sites detected, if there was no GPS signal all shift, or if the worker was clocked in for over 24 hours.
Can I still see the real clock out time?
Yes. It's always saved in the Logs of the time card.
Can workers change the time?
Yes, if they're allowed to edit their own time cards. To stop this, turn off editing under Clock Permissions.
Does this automatically clock out workers?
No. It only fixes the finish time after they clock out.
