How It Helps

With the Project Time feature, you can effortlessly monitor time being tagged by your team to different projects and cost codes. Easily review a breakdown of which projects and cost codes each of your team members have submitted time to throughout the week and by day.

How It Works

Project Time View

Log in on your desktop computer on workyard.com, then click on the Time Cards page. The time card page allows you to access your team's time cards in different ways, such as by Time Card, Project Time, or Locations. By selecting Project Time on the website you can view a table of all the time tagged to projects and cost codes. From this table there are two options to group the information:

• Group by None: Shows you each clock in - out record for every team member, project & cost code

• Group by Person & Day: Shows you a summary of total time for each project & cost code grouped by team member for each day

How to Filter Project Time Records

From the time card page on the website, you can filter which employee's time cards are displayed on the project time table in three ways:

Group Filters

  • All Time Cards: This option is available to Administrators & Managers. It displays all time cards for team members they have access to.

  • Assigned Time Cards: This option is available to Administrators & Managers. It displays time cards where they are assigned as a time approver.

  • My Time Cards: This option is available to Administrators, Managers & Workers. It displays their own time cards.

Date Filters

  • Daily: Displays time cards with a clock in date for the day selected. Use the arrows to scroll between days.

  • Weekly: Displays time cards for the calendar week selected. Use the arrows to scroll between weeks.

  • Monthly: Displays time cards for the calendar month selected. Use the arrows to scroll between months.

  • Pay Period: Displays time cards for your pay period ranges based on your pay period settings.

  • Custom Range: Displays time cards for the date range you select.

Attribute Filters

To further refine your search, select one or more different types of time card attributes:

  • Team Member: Filter by team members who have clocked in

  • Time Card Status: Filter by Clocked In, Clocked Out, Approved, or Exported

  • Time Approver: Filter by team members who are assigned as a time approver

  • Alerts: Filter by time card alerts applied on the time card

FAQs

Can I see the project time being tagged as soon as the worker clocks in?

A project time record will appear on this table as soon as the worker tags their time to the project or cost code from the mobile app and has an active internet connection.

How does the clock out time and total time get updated?

If the time card is in a clocked in status then the clock out time and total hours displayed is based on the workers current time. The clock out time and total will be updated once the user clocks out or creates the next project time record.
